Alleen de AlphaCrypt Classic CAM kan overweg met de Irdeto 2 codering van de meeste Nederlandse kabelbedrijven ( met uitzondering van UPC). Andere merken Irdeto 2 CAM's zijn niet geschikt. In de AlphaCrypt Classic CAM wordt vervolgens weer de smartcard van het kabelbedrijf geplaatst. Een zeer zorgvuldige check is nodig om te onderzoeken of deze ingebouwde tuners voor uw kabel bedrijf te gebruiken zijn. De kabelbedrijven geven vaak geen ondersteuning bij problemen.
